Institution profile

In the admin panel, navigate to Institution Settings to configure:
  • Institution name — displayed across the platform and cited by the Institutional Guide AI
  • Institution type — K-12, Higher Education, or VET
  • Default language — the language the platform defaults to for new users
  • Cultural context — a short description of your institution’s culture and values that FE uses to personalise its coaching questions

Cultural context

The cultural context field is important for personalisation. It tells the AI the kind of institution it’s operating within — helping it generate relevant conversation starters and contextualise its questions. Example:
Westfield University is a research-intensive university with a strong
commitment to interdisciplinary education. Faculty members value academic
freedom and evidence-based practice. The institution serves a diverse
student body across three campuses.
Keep the cultural context under 300 words. The AI uses the first 300 characters for inline personalisation and the full text for deeper context.

Branding

Upload your institution’s logo and configure brand colours in the Design section of the admin panel. These are applied across the participant-facing interface. Configurable elements:
  • Logo (PNG or SVG, displayed in the top navigation)
  • Primary colour
  • Secondary colour
  • Font family

Uploading institutional documents

The Institutional Guide AI answers participant questions by searching documents you upload. Supported formats:
  • PDF
  • Word documents (.docx)
  • URLs (public web pages)
Uploaded documents are processed and indexed. The AI will cite the source document name in every response.
Only upload documents you have the right to share. Do not upload documents containing personal data about students or staff.

Suggestion sets

You can configure a set of custom conversation starter suggestions for participants in your institution. These replace the AI-generated defaults and ensure participants see prompts that are relevant to your specific context. Navigate to AI Settings → Suggestion Sets in the admin panel to manage these.
